Nearly 400 wines are featured on the wine list. While there are some good restaurants in the RTC there's also a lot of sameness and frequently a lack of imagination. The cuisine is clean and rustic, with tapas shaped by Mediterranean, Spanish, and South American influences. This restaurant deserves a hearty WOW! In our opinion after eating twice daily for a straight six days in various restaurants, this was the best of the bunch, if novelty, attractiveness and really interesting food is your cup a tea, and it was ours for sure. On our last night of six, during a temporary stay between residences, while in the Reston Town Center we stumbled on Barcelona. ![]() The tapas we tried are repeatable, plus there are many more than sound equally good. It’s not inexpensive because the tapas do add up, but we will be going back. We were not impressed with the flan and would not order it again. Drybar Now Open The premier blowout experience is now open. For dessert, we shared a flan catalan with cappuccinos. All of them arrived promptly, were attractively plated, and tasted yummy. Then we ordered two more tapas, the Fried Oysters and the Jamón and Manchego Croquettes with Garlic Aioli, and then two more, Butternut Squash and Morcilla (blood sausage). We first ordered the Truffled Bikini, which is like a ham and cheese sandwich. There is a good selection of tapas, and we enjoy sharing. Even though the Paella Salvaje sounded good, we decided to go with the tapas. It is not sweet like the regular sangria. It’s a different kind of sangria, made with elderflower liqueur. Their Flora sangria is more expensive than their regular sangria, but it was really good. This week Chef Javier for our upcoming opening in Miami hands the reigns to Chef Cristina in Reston Call to Chefs with passion, humility, and pride, we have. It was a somewhat lively place even at 5:00 PM, but noise was not too bad. Our reservation was for 5:00 PM, so the place was not full. Garage parking is free on weekends, holidays, and major events. On a recent Saturday evening, my husband and I went to Barcelona Wine Bar in Reston Town Center. ![]()
